My work on Lean leadership began in the mid-1990s while I was a manager in industry, a time when all others were focused only on Lean tools. Fifteen years would pass before other researchers recognized that Lean leadership was dramatically different than conventional leadership and required focused, in-depth study.
Today I am a teacher and a writer. My purpose is to advance REAL Lean thinking and practice world-wide. You will find this web site to be an amazing resource that will greatly improve your understanding and practice of Lean leadership and Lean management.
As practical scholar, I produce only original, high-quality books and papers will amaze you in their clarity, originality, unique perspectives, and depth of practical Lean thinking. They will help you greatly in your efforts to achieve a Lean transformation in your organization.
Here are typical reactions to my writing and speaking: "Your meticulously researched books and papers are a major differentiator between you and your peers" and "An inspiring and entertaining speaker." My work on Lean leadership is the simplest and most sensible approach you will find anywhere.
